Hall & Oates’ longtime bassist Tom “T-Bone” Wolk died Saturday of an apparent heart attack. Wolk played on Kurtis Blow’s “These Are the Breaks” and with the Saturday Night Live house band from 1986 to 1992. “T-Bone was my musical brother and losing him is like losing my right hand,” Daryl Hall said in a statement.

A drunk vandal has been arrested for setting the Philadelphia blaze that consumed much of songwriters Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff’s historic studio building earlier this week. NBC Philadelphia reports 27-year-old Chris Cimini broke into the studio and used a lighter to set the blaze.

Natavia S. Lowery has been convicted for the second-degree murder of former Ramones co-manager Linda Stein and faces life in prison, the New York Times reports. Animal Collective and visual artist Danny Perez are booked for a multimedia show at New York’s Guggenheim museum rotunda on March 4th. Transverse Temporal Gyrus will transform the museum into “a kinetic, psychedelic environment,” promises museum reps.

Brooklyn, New York’s Hoyt-Schermerhorn subway station may soon get a mural commemorating its most famous moment: the filming of Michael Jackson’s “Bad” video. Paul Revere and the Raiders guitarist Drake “The Kid” Levin has died of cancer at age 62, Variety reports. Levin joined the band at 16 and went on to form the band Brotherhood; he reunited with the Raiders for a concert in 1997.
AFI bassist Hunter Burgan has revealed the band’s next album, Crash Love, arrives September 29th via his Twitter.

Allen Klein, the former manager of the Beatles and Rolling Stones and founder of ABKCO Records, passed away July 4th after a battle with Alzheimer’s, CNN reports. Klein was 77. Klein also held the copyright to music by the Kinks, Sam Cooke, the Animals, Chubby Checker and more.
Eric De La Cruz, a Nine Inch Nails fan who Trent Reznor helped get a heart transplant, passed away on July 4th. As Rock Daily reported last week, Reznor received proclamations from New York government officials honoring the NIN frontman for the work he did toward helping De La Cruz.
